Thoughts on Access
Current science and other ways of knowing demonstrate that massage and manual therapies serve as effective forms of both preventive and rehabilitative care. I believe all people should have the right and access to such care and am working to facilitate that to the best of my ability.
I do not believe in add-ons. In service of your health, any tools (namely cupping and scraping) I have at my disposal are available to you at no extra cost.
Time-of-Service (aka Out-of-Pocket)
60-minute session ($110)
90-minute session ($145)
For those paying out-of-pocket, I offer a sliding scale pricing upon request.
Tipping and Community Access Fund
As a profession, massage currently straddles the service and healthcare industries. This can create confusion about whether or not it is appropriate for clients to tip.
In order to avoid this confusion — and in recognition of the fraught history of tipping — rather than accepting tips, we charge rates adequate to provide a living wage and do not accept gratuity.
If clients are compelled to give extra, those funds will be used to support free sessions for community members who need care but cannot currently pay.
Contributions can be made at time of payment by card, cash, or at any time via Venmo to @ExpanseMassage with “Community Access Fund” in the description.
Health Insurance
For those with access to health insurance, I am actively able to work with the following companies:
Providence
Aetna
United Health Care
Regence (Blue Cross Blue Shield)
TriWest VA
I am also in process and will hope to soon be able to also work with:
Trillium (OHP/medicaid)
If you have questions about your plan coverage, verification, and billing, contact Ryan at expansemassage@outlook.com or 928-853-9929.
Auto Insurance and Workers’ Compensation
If you have a Workers Comp or Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) claim, we bill directly to your insurance company under your Personal Injury Compensation (PIP) coverage.
Cancellation Policy
Clients who fail to show up for their session or who cancel or reschedule their appointment within 24 hours of the scheduled start time will be required to pay 75 percent of the cost of their scheduled session.
This policy applies to all clients, including those who plan to use insurance to cover all or a portion of the session cost.
Cancellations and rescheduled appointments are very difficult to fill on short notice and I may have already invested time in preparation ahead of the session.
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment for any reason, I ask that you do so as soon as possible so that another client might be able to receive care during your original session time.
Cancellation fees are waived in cases of emergency and illness. This policy is based on the honor system.
