Thoughts on Access

Current science and other ways of knowing demonstrate that massage and manual therapies serve as effective forms of both preventive and rehabilitative care. I believe all people should have the right and access to such care and am working to facilitate that to the best of my ability.

I do not believe in add-ons. In service of your health, any tools (namely cupping and scraping) I have at my disposal are available to you at no extra cost.

Time-of-Service (aka Out-of-Pocket)

  • 60-minute session ($88-$130)

  • 90-minute session ($114-$169)

  • 30-minute session ($57-$85)

For those paying out-of-pocket, I offer a sliding scale option based on each person’s ability to pay.

Clients select their own rate based on their relative levels of income, wealth, access to other forms of privilege, and the many other contributing factors.

Want a sense of where you land? Use these tools to gauge your relative income and relative wealth by age.

This practice reflects the belief that we would all be better served within more equitable, adaptable, and fluid economies. To learn more about these ideas and how people are putting them into practice, visit the New Economy Coalition website here.

Tipping and Community Access Fund

As a profession, massage currently straddles the service and healthcare industries. This can create confusion about whether or not it is appropriate for clients to tip.

In order to avoid this confusion — and in recognition of the fraught history of tipping — rather than accepting tips we charge rates adequate to provide a living wage and do not accept gratuity.

If clients are compelled to give extra, those funds will be used to support free sessions for community members who need care but cannot currently pay.

Health Insurance

For those fortunate to have access to health insurance, I am contracted to work with the following companies:
